Another brick in the wall
We don't need no
education
We don't need no
thought control
Those who read all my posts knows that I'm in a job quest.
Which is actually pretty easy in Paris. If you have papers. Of course, I don't.
I still need a work permit, even if my country is an EU member now. But that's
not the subject of this post.
At the moment you could see me anywhere in the Paris region
with a handful of CVs that I distribute all over the place. And I am having job
interviews from time to time. Quite often actually.
From small corner shops to big multinational companies. And
those big companies are today's subject.
Yesterday I had a job interview in an American fast food
chain. I won't name names, but I'll tell you that they serve Mexican
food.
Well it wasn't really an interview as it was a school class.
We were somewhere between 20 and 30 to listen their bullshit for about half an
hour.
First they told us that only the best of the best could work
there.
Yeah, you have to be a rocket scientist to chop onion and
wash the dishes...
Then they talked about all the usual crap like a big happy
family, how their workers should feel like home and treat the restaurant as
they own. Not just come to work, do the job, take the money and go home.
WTF?! I mean, WTF!?
Well, guess what? That is exactly what I am gonna do (or
not, whatever). I don't need another home. I don't need another family. I don't
need more friends. I just need a job. A place to come to, do whatever the hell
I have to do, take the money and go home.
And that just because I can't get my money for nothing and
my chicks for free. Not because I love to work and earn a shitload of money to
some prick.
There was much more corporate bullshit you can here from all
the little managers and directors of all those big multinational companies. You
probably know what I mean.
Because it's the same story everywhere. And the same profile
of the managers / team leaders.
Young people with a little working (and life) experience,
usually not the brightest of all so they could be easily brainwashed. And
brainwashed they are!
They really believe in all the things they say, they are not
aware that those aren't they words. They were programmed to say them. To think
them. Even to mean them...
It goes so far that some of them will consume only their
company's products. Try to persuade their friends and families to do the same.
Even if the others have better and cheaper products. And that would be almost
fine if those were really their companies. But they're not. They're just
companies they work for. And they cannot see that difference. Not anymore.
So, even if they are all the same, they'll think they are
unique. They'll even brag about it.
I have worked in quite a few of those companies so I can
tell you they are not unique. They are not special. They are nothing more but
another brick in the wall...
