Have a little faith
If
I let you see the flow of my mind
Would you be able to follow it
From a simple, innocent spring
All the way to the deep blue sea
You'll probably swim in a restful lagoon of my poems
But would you dare to dive
In all those deep, dark, wild depths
And enlighten them with me
If I let you into my heart
Would you be able to see past all the scars
All the way to the immense void
Still waiting to be filled
Would you plant your flag in there
And fill it with colors of your love
And would you reign so confidently
That it never questions it's loyalty
To you
If I invite you to accompany me
On this tremendous adventure called life
Would you play the main role
Or be just another episode
I know I'm not the safest bet
But the odds are there to beat
Stranger things have happened, you know
Have a little faith in me
Would you be able to follow it
From a simple, innocent spring
All the way to the deep blue sea
You'll probably swim in a restful lagoon of my poems
But would you dare to dive
In all those deep, dark, wild depths
And enlighten them with me
If I let you into my heart
Would you be able to see past all the scars
All the way to the immense void
Still waiting to be filled
Would you plant your flag in there
And fill it with colors of your love
And would you reign so confidently
That it never questions it's loyalty
To you
If I invite you to accompany me
On this tremendous adventure called life
Would you play the main role
Or be just another episode
I know I'm not the safest bet
But the odds are there to beat
Stranger things have happened, you know
Have a little faith in me
