Mima's poem

How do you write a poem about someone
That means to you more than words could ever describe
Is it enough just to say “I love you”
When you love her so much that the words themselves
Sound so unspeakably lame
And when you said it so many times before...
How do you find words that would be special enough
Unique and perfect, like she is

How do you write a poem to describe her beauty
When the words you’re looking for haven’t been invented yet
Are you allowed to make up your own, or
Would you dare to use the words you used in the past
The words anyone ever used; second hand words
To describe someone who deserves more than anyone have to offer
Would you be able to forgive yourself, if by accident
You compare her with someone from the past

How do you even begin to write about someone
Who found that little flicker of love inside you
That you thought it was gone for good a long, long time ago
And made from it this enormous flame that will burn just for her
That she tamed all your turmoils and at the same time
Ruffled all your waters and blood in your veins
How do you find a word that rhymes with her name
When all other words sounds exactly the same
